El Sabor de Kimpton Brunch: A Colorful Culinary Conversation

The Latin brunch concept, ‘El Sabor de Kimpton Brunch,’ was born from a conversation among friends following the success of the Chili Fest earlier this year. Lamberto Valdez Lara, Cluster Executive Chef for Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok and Sindhorn Midtown Hotel, Vignette Collection, explains, “My descent celebrates Mayan cuisine, more than 3,000 years old and still thriving in Latin Caribbean countries today. It’s colorful, different, and sparks conversations – much like the Latin X community, which is all about food, drinks, and celebrating together. As we say in Mexico, food, drinks, and dancing equal a fiesta!”

A Monthly Celebration of Latin America

‘El Sabor de Kimpton Brunch’ is set to become a monthly celebration of ‘Vivir Mi Vida’ (Living My Life) across Latin America. Following the success of the ‘Welcome to the Playground’ Brunch in Stock.Room, the Hotel’s Grocerant, this brunch is an opportunity to showcase not only Mexican cuisine but also the diverse flavors of Latin X cuisine from various nations.

The brunch will feature a Mayan-Caribbean section, Nikkei Cuisine from Peru, Mexican specialties including regional favorites from Guerrero, Oaxaca, and Chiapas, Boliveria street foods, highlights from Brazil, and the Argentine-Italian meat scene, renowned for its fine beef cuts and charcuteries.

To celebrate the local Latin community, rotating guest chefs and mixologists will join Chef Lamberto, paying tribute to their ancestors by sharing their local fare.

‘El Sabor de Kimpton Brunch’ is not just about food; it offers a complete sensory experience. This Latin Brunch includes entertainment partners who will bring the El Festival to life. Guests can immerse themselves in the vibrant Latin energy through DJ Camillo, The Accordion Player, the 4-piece live band the Rumberos, and the entertainment of Madame Rouge Performance featuring salsa, flamenco, and carnival-style bachata.

An Ever-Evolving Experience
