MG’s Impact on Thailand’s EV Landscape

In 2019, MG introduced the NEW MG ZS EV, a 100% electric SUV, creating an EV landscape in Thailand. The model revolutionized people’s perceptions of electric vehicles and made EV usage “easy.” With confidence in the country’s EV market, MG continues to launch new EV models that cater to diverse consumer lifestyles. In 2022, MG unveiled the NEW MG EP, Thailand’s first 100% electric station wagon, and the NEW MG4 ELECTRIC, a 100% rear wheel-drive electric hatchback. This year, they introduced the NEW MG ES, a 100% electric station wagon, and the NEW MG MAXUS 9, Thailand’s first 100% electric luxury 7-seat MPV. MG’s delivery of 10,000 EV units over the past 5 years has positioned the company as a driving force in Thailand’s EV ecosystem.

Gratitude and Special Promotions

Pongsak Lertruedeewattanavong, Vice President of MG Sales (Thailand), expressed gratitude to Thai consumers for their warm welcome of MG and their support in creating new EV driving experiences. MG is committed to developing innovative models that cater to customer lifestyles. Additionally, MG has invested in over 130 charging stations across the country, demonstrating its dedication to providing convenience for EV users. As part of the 10,000 EV unit-delivery celebration, MG offers a special car maintenance campaign, providing free checks for 34 items, including the high-pressure EV system and air-conditioning system, at all MG service centers nationwide. The promotion is available for advance bookings until June 30, 2023.

Furthermore, MG is hosting a unique event called the “Carbon Free Road Trip” exclusively for owners of all MG EV models. Taking place from June 17-18, participants will have the opportunity to explore Ayutthaya province in their electric vehicles. Owners of any MG EV model can participate by submitting a photo of themselves with their MG electric vehicle and a description of their impressions. Applications are open until May 30, 2023, and the list of 30 winners will be announced on June 1.
