Green Stays at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok with the Plant Pals Programme
Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok, the hip landmark on Langsuan Road, takes intuitive hospitality to the next level with a greener stay that brings a sense of “home away from home.” The hotel introduces the “Plant Pals” programme, now available at participating Kimpton properties worldwide. In partnership with Brooklyn-based plant expert Christopher Griffin, aka Plant Kween, the non-binary author of You Grow, Gurl! and champion of inclusivity, holistic wellness, and the therapeutic power of plants, the programme is part of the hotel’s Kimpton Stay Human experiences.
Plant Power for a Stress-Free Stay
Adding a plant to your room or office desk can do wonders for the environment. Research shows that plants help reduce stress, improve mental health, boost productivity, and enhance job satisfaction. Unfortunately, plants are not very mobile, but the Plant Pals programme at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok has the solution!
Greenery Options for a Greener Stay
The Plant Pals programme offers six different plant options that guests can choose to have delivered directly to their room. Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok has sourced plants from local suppliers to showcase Thailand’s signature tropical charms. The hotel’s selection includes two handpicked plants by Plant Kween and four local plants. The six options available at the hotel include:
• Fiddle-Leaf Fig (Handpicked by Plant Kween): symbolises abundance, good luck, and attracts wealth. • Chinese Evergreen (Handpicked by Plant Kween): brings good luck and prosperity. • Zanzibar Gem (or ZZ Plant): commonly known as the fortune tree, this plant brings luck and prosperity. • Marble Queen: known in Thailand as the Money Plant, it removes stale or dark energy and brings good luck and prosperity. • Snake Plant: helps filter indoor air, and its calming presence enhances the good energy of a space and eliminates bitterness and jealousy. • Indian Rubber Tree: represents wealth, good luck, and fortune, and improves overall indoor air quality.
To request a plant, guests can simply ask the front desk. The hotel will deliver a unique plant to their room along with a name tag and a bundle of positive energy.
Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok’s Plant Pals programme adds an extra touch of green to your stay, promoting mindfulness and relaxation, and making the hotel feel like a second home.
