THAIFEX - Anuga Asia 2023

The largest food and beverage trade show in Asia, THAIFEX – Anuga Asia, is set to take place from May 23-27, 2023, at Impact Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok, Thailand. The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC), and Koelnmesse (KM) are organising the event, with an expected revenue of 70,000 million baht.

The trade show has a “Beyond Food Experience” theme and will be held over 11 exhibition halls with more than 3,000 exhibitors from 43 countries and over 60,000 visitors, buyers, and decision-makers from 120 countries. The total exhibition area will be 130,000 square meters with over 5,500 booths. THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2023 will include 11 zones, showcasing a diverse range of food and beverage products. The event aims to emphasise Thailand’s potential as a leader in producing and exporting world-class quality food.

The event will have special activities such as the Thailand Ultimate Chef Challenge competition, knowledge sharing seminars, and the Export Clinic, a trade fair activity with commercial attachés. Special zones will also be available for consumers, such as THAIFEX – Anuga Halal Market, THAIFEX – Anuga Organic Market, THAIFEX – Anuga Future Food Market, Future Food Experience+, THAIFEX – Anuga tasteInnovation Show, and the Thai SELECT pavilion. The trade show will launch THAIFEX – HOREC Asia, a new trade show aimed at industry players in the HoReCa industry.

Revenue Generation

Ms. Natiya Suchinda, Director of the Office of Agricultural and Industrial Trade Promotion, DITP, said that the COVID-19 pandemic had impacted the THAIFEX – Anuga Asia events from 2019-2022. This year, the organisers are preparing for a fully organised event that is bigger than before the outbreak. The event aims to generate immediate orders, with online purchases exceeding 1.5 billion baht. The primary goal of the event is to facilitate business transactions worth over 70 billion baht.

This year, more than 3,000 companies from 43 countries, including 1,200 Thai businesses, will showcase their products and services across 5,500 booths. The participating countries include East Asia, ASEAN, Europe, the United States, Australia, Latin America, and the Middle East. The event anticipates an attendance of over 60,000 trade visitors from 120 countries, fuelled by a strong global interest in Thai food and beverages.
